This freakish abomination is the product of twisted necromancers who seek to capitalise on its horrific appearence.

The One Armed Flayers possess only one arm that juts from the middle of their backs and holds an oversized eye with which they see. Their skin is often desicated, or mostly removed, revealing the muscles beneath. The legs are placed back wards, and the feet are replaced with hands.

The eye has the ability to paralyse any who look into it with fear, after which they can deliver a vicious bite with their sharpened needle like black teeth, or tear at their foes with their 'feet'

If the eye is destroyed, the Flayer will go beserk and attack anything it can get its hand(s?) on.

I plan on using these things next time I can run a D&D game.
